Fernando "Cobo" Pereira (born 1963) is a major in the military of São Tomé and Príncipe.

He led a coup against the elected government of Fradique de Menezes on July 16, 2003, while the latter was out of the country.
However, Pereira relinquished power on July 23 as part of an agreement.[1]
Pereira "is of mixed Cape Verdian and Angolan descent."[2]
He is the father of ten children.[2]
